Photography is, essentially, writing with light. This project serves as a technical and artistic study of the human form and its interplay with shadow.

In collaboration with Federica, the approach was to subtract light rather than add it, utilizing specific lighting setups to accentuate textures and lines. Each image is the result of a meticulous search for balance, where darkness plays a role just as crucial as light in defining the final composition.
